This family home recently endured a stunning transformation which was designed by Sydney based Interior Designer, Ann King. Throughout AJ House is a palatial and rich palette of colours where deep blue is the central colour. Harmoniously accented by white walls and lighter hues, this selection encompasses an overall welcoming spaciousness that’s perfect for family living.
Featured within the formal living room is the Etoile 9 light pendant light by Il Fanale. While the outdoor lighting fixtures include the Logga Wall Light, Quadro Ceiling and Wall Lights also by Il Fanale.
The Etoile Pendant Light is one of the various show-stopping elements featured in this impeccable formal dining room. The cylindrical forms of Etoile’s shades in conjunction with the square and grid-like arrangement evoke a sense of balance hanging above the deep and rich colour palette of furnishings underneath.
This gorgeous and inviting outdoor deck beams with white furnishings and a white ceiling which are contrasted by the surrounding dark navy tones. The Quadro Ceiling Light’s industrial styled pre-aged brass finish seamlessly fits in with the raw wood finishes seen in the table and flooring.
Positioned at the entrance of the home is the Quadro and Loggia Wall Lights, the distinctive old brass finishes stands out against the dark brick. This juxtaposition of the bright and rich-coloured old brass against the darkness of the brick sets the tone for the remainder of the home.
Ann King’s design and colour palette selection successfully balances an interplay of deep hues with an inviting brightness. In effect, an airiness presents itself amongst the bold colours and furnishings making it perfect for a family home.
