We light up three great spaces at Merivale’s Queens Hotel in Enmore, Sydney – Queen Chow, The Smelly Goat and Zebra Bar.
Inspired by Hong Kong street food, Queen Chow has a fresh take on traditional Chinese ambience and cuisine. Within this space, Merivale’s stylist team have selected timeless and elegant furniture and lights, which combined with the overall design, creates a sophisticated atmosphere that pairs so very well with the Cantonese culinary classics and produces yet another excellent Merivale venue.
Then head upstairs to the Smelly Goat…
Here you’ll enter an idiosyncratic cocktail bar with precision-made drinks by some of the most skilled and entertaining mixologists in Sydney ! With an unexpected collection of taxidermy birds within dimly lit cubicles on the wall and the featured onyx bar, these elements add to the beautiful interiors of this magical space.
The third space is a safari-inspired, 1930s-era bar packed with character and style. Zebra Bar, aptly named and highlighted by the large zebra mural on the wall, is a great nook for a pre-hunt tipple. Checked green and white-tiled floors, a dark green marble bar and gold accents add to the yesteryear feel. Here, LightCo has helped echo the ambience of colonial Africa through a range of cylindrical and adjustable spotlights to enhance some of the many beautiful features in the room.
LightCo’s team worked closely with Merivale, Snoop Global and Akin Creative on this project and the result is three totally unique spaces all expertly lit and fit for a Queen!
