Dahl Chandelier by Northern revives an original Birger Dahl design created for the renovation of Norway’s Parliament building in 1956. Reintroduced from the Parliament archives and brought back into production by Northern, the chandelier reflects the geometric clarity and refined minimalism that defined Dahl’s contribution to Scandinavian lighting design.  

The chandelier features nine mouth-blown opal glass shades suspended from a sculptural steel framework with refined brass detailing. Balancing strict geometry with softened contours, the design creates a warm, atmospheric illumination suited to dining spaces, living areas, hospitality settings, and architectural interiors.

Updated for contemporary living, the Dahl Chandelier has been adapted with revised proportions to better suit standard ceiling heights while maintaining the integrity of Dahl’s original design. Available with either Small or Large glass shades, and in a choice of Brass or Black with Brass Details, the chandelier bridges Norwegian design heritage with modern decorative lighting.
