The Ama Collection by BOMMA is a luminous celebration of the natural world, drawing inspiration from the delicate shells of mussels that produce treasured pearls. Designed by BOMMA Creative Director Václav Mlynář, each fixture features meticulously cut glass of substantial size, encasing a pearl-like light source at its centre to deliver a soft, ambient glow.
Available in both opened and closed shell configurations, the collection evokes the organic beauty of real-life pearl mussels, equally striking as individual pieces or arranged in natural clusters. Each glass shell is produced using a specialist glassmaking technique, heated and gradually shaped over two days into a precise conical mould, ensuring every piece carries an inherent sense of craftsmanship and depth.
