Karman see’s light as a continuous source of inspiration, and typically their curiosity takes us through a philosophical journey. This year Karman has stripped back their storytelling and presented us with a raw photographic series called Capsule.
A project with the idea of freeing the light fixtures from all contexts, removing the background and the ‘noise’, exploring the fusion between man and light.
Snoob Chandelier designed by Matteo Ugolini for Karman, Snoob took inspiration from traditional chandelier designs from Baroque palaces and turned it into a simplistic design that is current for today’s interiors.
Firm, solid, and resistant: Cell, by Matteo Ugolini for Karman, is an oval-shaped white wire cage that encloses a linen diffuser, ideal for a softer diffusion of light. The Cell collection is available in a floor and pendant variation with the possibility of displaying it inside or outdoors.
Cupido Pendant Light by Karman originated with the idea to make two different worlds – technical lighting and decorative lighting. “Fall in love”, and live in perfect harmony. This has given rise to Cupido – a long, minimal bar of led light piercing a lampshade made of charcoal cotton with inner print.

Notredame Collection designed by Luca De Bona & Dario De Meo, Karman recalls the appeal of natural light of Gothic cathedrals. Its poetical appearance stirs very old emotions. Nevertheless, in Notredame… the present and future coexist.
Sisma Collection by Karman is outlined by a structure in the construction site’s ribbed rebar. Electrical cables can be twirled around the fixture, so you can decide how many lighting sources and in which position you wish to set them.
